Waitress charged with manslaughter following Glen resident’s stabbing death

Twenty-four year old Brittany Audain of Barrouallie was granted bail in the sum of $30,000 when she appeared before the Serious Offences Court on Thursday, charged in connection with the killing of 31-year old Denroy Black of Glen.

Black died Tuesday morning while being transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical care after he sustained a stab wound to his neck during an altercation which took place at Glen around 12:50 a.m on Tuesday, October 7.

Audain was taken into police custody shortly after. Following investigation, she was slapped with a charge of manslaughter.

As part of her bail conditions imposed by the Serious Offences Court, she was ordered to surrender all travel documents and to report to the Barrouallie Police Station on Wednesday between 8 a.m and 8 p.m until the matter is disposed of.

The court also ordered that stop notices be placed at all ports of entry and exit around the country.

Audain, a waitress, is due to return to court on November 10, 2025.
